Containing over 300 active substances, including phenyl, ethylamine and serotine, cacao beans are the raw base for chocolate manufacture. Originating from the tropical climates in South America, the Theobroma cacao tree is sacred amongst the Mayans and Aztecs. On its own,
the cacao beans are a fine “superfood” as they foster a variety of antioxidants and other nutrients. Produced by organic growers in Peru, cacao beans contain more antioxidants than red wine and 3 more than green tea, cacao beans embody a rich source of minerals. Harvested by hand as pods, the raw beans are selected for the finest quality and fermented to reduce their initial bitterness. After cleaning the dried beans in natural water, they are peeled and their core extracted to be broken into “nibs”. The production process fully preserves the nutritional value of the cacao without any additives. Peruvian Cacao Nibs are certified organic by the Soil Association under the code GB-ORG-05

Cacao butter is made by pressing ground, milled Cacao nibs to make a cacao paste. This process separates the butter from the powder. The butter is solidified and moulded into wafers. Cacao butter contains a high proportion of saturated fats, derived from healthy acids – stearic and palmitic. Acai Berry is a small, purple berry of the Acai palm which normally grows in the flood lands and swampy areas of the Brazilian Amazon region. Harvested twice a year, these black glittering berries are a treasure of nutrients embodying a wealth of minerals. The Acai berry seed takes
about 80% of the total fruit and the seed can be used in certain animal feeds after grinding. Two predominant species of acai exist: Euterpe Oleracea and Euterpe Precatoria. Most of the acai readily available on the market is produced from oleracea variety. Our acai belongs to a more unique botanical variety – Euterpe Precatoria which is high in antioxidants. Cultivated in spring, Maca is a small root vegetable from the maca plant grown at altitudes over 3500 metres. Traditionally integrated in the nutrition of natives, the Maca root has evolved into a modern day “superfood”. Our Maca powder is made up of a normal harvest (unsorted) of approximately 70% yellow Maca root, and 30% mix of red, black and purple Maca root. Our Organic Maca Powder can be used in a variety of ways, including but not limited to; smoothies, salads, juices, desserts and raw cooking recipes. A seed of cannabis sativa L, hemp is a nondrug variety of cannabis. This remarkable “superfood” is an excellent protein source embodying essential amino acids. Hemp seeds are an optimum source for fatty acids including omega 3-6-9 and vital minerals. The two main proteins in
hemp seed are edestin and albumin. These high-quality storage proteins are easily digested and contain nutritionally significant amounts of amino acids. A traditional oriental medicine, clinical trials have identified hemp seeds as a functional food and an important food resource. Reminiscent
of a sunflower seed, raw hemp seeds are selected for the finest quality and then pressed at 43°C to separate the hemp oil from the solids to form a paste. Once the paste has dried into cake, it is stone ground to hemp powder. The hemp powder is sifted to reduce fibre content whilst preserving the high proportion of protein. Wheatgrass powder is produced from the leaves of the commonly known plant – Triticum Aestivum. Our wheatgrass is grown on the fertile plains in Europe, and is are harvested whilst still young to capture the peak nutritional essence of the plant. It is then processed at one of the largest, highly innovative, and most efficient dehydration facilities in Europe. The final processing step involves milling wheatgrass into a fine powder form. It takes 5kg of fresh leaves to produce 1kg of powder. The product is certified organic by the Soil Association under the code GB-ORG-05.
